Chinese language courses:

This beginner's course is designed for students who desire to establish a sound footing towards language proficiency. Accurate pronunciation, tones, and grammatical expressions are the main focuses for this program. The course begins with an introduction to the sound system of Mandarin Chinese and moves on to basic skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing, along with an introduction to Chinese culture. Pinyin and simplified characters are used. You will learn 250-300 commonly used words, 40-60 sentence patterns, and basic grammar points.
The goal of this course is to start communicating readily in daily life. Discussion topics include: working, professional objectives, personal interests, hobbies, and skills. You will learn common grammatical rules – half of the language’s most important grammar, 400-600 commonly used words, 80-100 sentence patterns. Our course focuses on listening, speaking, reading and writing; emphasizes pronunciation, vocabulary development, complex sentence structure, and writing with Chinese characters.
You will learn how to converse further across a wide range of topics used in daily life. You will continue studying common grammatical rules, an additional 700-800 commonly used words, 150-200 sentence patterns in total. By the end of the course, you can expect to be able to engage in daily conversation, read simple texts as well as write for daily needs. Students expand their listening and speaking ability in handling everyday situations while developing reading and writing skills with more complex texts.
With our exam preparation course you will train for all parts of the test, and review necessary characters and grammatical rules.
Course to obtain the certificate in Teaching Chinese a Second Language (TCSL)
Our TCSL program prepares future language instructors to teach Chinese as a Foreign Language in domestic or international settings. It is a professional teaching training for native Chinese speakers and non-natives fluent in Chinese. The course gives a systematic approach to language structure and a solid foundation of teaching methods.

Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics, which are familiar, or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.

Chinese teachers: Overseas Internship Placement
Qualified students from Sanjiang University, Nanjing with the major of “Chinese International Education” or TCSL finalize their educational studies during a one- or two-semester internship. They teach the official language of mainland China (Putonghua) according to a curriculum which is designed by our company and in accordance with the host school. Before their departure all the interns are further trained and assessed by our teaching staff while practicing the appointed curriculum with expats living in Nanjing and studying Chinese in our downtown training center.
Step 1: Based on the requirements and needs of our partner institutions overseas we tailor the course including: duration, intensity, curriculum and materials with consideration al different target groups within the school.
Step 2: We publish the position offer. Application period starts.
Step 3: We select candidates that meet the requirements of the school.
Step 4: Together with the partner organization we hold interviews with the selected candidates.
Step 5: Our company takes upon the arrangement of the succeeded interns’ trip: their training, formalities, visa application etc.
Step 6: The partner institution arrange or help with board and lodging for the interns.
During the whole internship time we give our interns support in terms of teaching and communication with their students and colleagues.
